PATH Programme Support
Ongoing government grant for eligible households
The Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH) is a government social safety-net programme that provides support to eligible households, including persons with disabilities. You apply in person at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) office in your parish of residence, where your family's demographic and socio-economic details are entered into the Beneficiary Identification System (BIS). That information is used to calculate a score through the BIS Proxy Means Test; if your family's score is at or below the cut-off, you are selected, and the MLSS schedules a home visit to verify the information before you begin receiving the grant through a bank, post office or electronic deposit. I was assessed and placed on the PATH programme, so I can share from experience how the application and assessment work.

Eligibility
- A family score at or below the BIS Proxy Means Test cut-off
- Valid ID and TRN for the family head
- Birth certificates for all children in the household
- Birth certificates for adults 60 and over in the household
