Up to JMD $150,000 per year (two awards)

The Margaret Moody Scholarship, offered by the JCPD and its Board of Management, invites applications from registered persons with disabilities pursuing study at the Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree level. Two winners each receive up to One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Jamaican Dollars (JMD $150,000) per year, which can be used for tuition, boarding and materials. Priority goes to applicants pursuing tertiary study for the first time and to those maintaining a “B” average or 3.00 GPA. Support can continue for the duration of the course provided the awardee keeps that average, and each awardee must complete 40 voluntary hours per year — 20 within the disability community and 20 with a non-disability organisation. Applications use the prescribed form, close at the end of July each year, and must include a 500-word essay and two character references.
