The Emergency Grant is financial support the JCPD provides to registered clients who find themselves in difficult or life-threatening situations that require urgent attention — examples include a fire or a life-threatening medical emergency. The maximum award is Three Hundred Thousand Jamaican Dollars (JMD $300,000), and processing takes place within five working days of the JCPD verifying the request. To access it, applicants must be registered with the JCPD, present evidence of the urgent need, and be facing a genuinely life-threatening situation.
Persons with disabilities, or their caregivers, registered with the JCPD who need emergency funding to alleviate a life-threatening situation.
