The Education Grant (EG) is financial support the JCPD offers its registered clients for educational purposes, up to a maximum of Fifty Thousand Jamaican Dollars (JMD $50,000). Applicants must be registered with the JCPD, enrolled in an educational institution, and generally between the ages of 4 and 18. Those already attending school must provide a School Progress Report; first-time applicants must submit an acceptance letter from the institution. Applicants over 18 pursuing post-secondary short courses or vocational training of no more than eighteen months may also apply. Tuition support requires an invoice from the institution, and requests for school supplies require an invoice from a stationery store. The caregiver or parent should be unemployed or earning no more than the national minimum wage.
Persons with disabilities, or their caregivers, registered with the JCPD who are enrolled in or attending an educational institution.
