Economic Empowerment Grant
Up to JMD $200,000 individual / JMD $400,000 group
The Economic Empowerment Grant (EEG) is an entrepreneurial grant designed and administered by the JCPD to give unemployed or low-income persons with disabilities financial support to start or expand a business. Caregivers may apply on their behalf. The grant offers a maximum of Two Hundred Thousand Jamaican Dollars (JMD $200,000) for an individual and Four Hundred Thousand Jamaican Dollars (JMD $400,000) for a group application. A group of two or more may apply, provided persons with disabilities hold at least sixty percent (60%) ownership of the business. Recipients must be willing to have the JCPD monitor the business for six months after the grant is awarded, and must own the business premises or have documented permission to operate there for at least one year.

Eligibility
- Registered with the JCPD
- Unemployed or earning no more than the national minimum wage
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial need for the grant
- For groups: persons with disabilities must hold at least 60% ownership
- Own the business property or provide proof of permission to operate for at least one year
