Tavaine AnglinDisability Benefits ConsultationAwareness training for organisations and communities
The JCPD Disability Sensitization and Training Service educates and raises awareness about disability, promotes inclusivity, and builds a deeper understanding of the rights and needs of persons with disabilities. Custom-designed workshops, seminars and training sessions are available to businesses, educational institutions, government entities, non-profits, healthcare providers, faith-based and civil-society organisations, and the general public. Content covers disability awareness and the different types of disability, inclusive and accessible practices, respectful communication, disability rights and legislation (the Disabilities Act 2014 and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities), and how to create accessible workplaces and public spaces. Sessions are offered in person and virtually, from a few hours to full-day workshops. The JCPD team assesses your needs and customises the training to fit your goals.
