Assessing and improving access to public and private spaces

Accessibility Audit

The JCPD Accessibility Audit Service assesses and improves the accessibility of public and private spaces so they are inclusive for persons with disabilities. The audit identifies barriers — physical, structural, technological or communicative — that hinder full participation, evaluating areas such as building entrances, pathways, restrooms, communication methods and digital accessibility against national and international standards. The process runs from an initial client inquiry and preliminary discussion, through a signed service agreement, an on-site audit and accessibility evaluation with feedback gathering, to a generated report, a post-audit evaluation, and certification.

What this covers

  • Evaluating entrances, pathways, restrooms and signage
  • Reviewing communication methods and digital accessibility
  • A written report against national and international standards
  • Post-audit evaluation and certification
